Cydney and Ryan were married at the amazing Felt Mansion in Holland, Michigan. Their day was classically beautiful and full of friends and family who truly support them.
Seeing their first look, it is easy to tell how excited and happy they are to be together! That feeling carried through the entire day. There was joy and excitement in everything they did! We were truly happy to be a part of their day and get to document such a fun and heartfelt day! We had the chance to work alongside Vafa Photo(https://www.vafaphotography.com) which is always a great time! And they had Nate Holley for the music at the start of their reception and that was incredible!

Miranda and Ramiro's wedding day was perfect! The weather was amazing and the guests were all so excited to be a part of this event. Miranda and Ramiro met by chance on the golf course and in Ramiro's words their paths have been coming together ever since. It was a joy to be a part of their day and to capture their authentic, real, and honest love story. It was easy to see how much Brooke and Chris love each other. They could not stop smiling at each other and laughing with each other. They were just so happy to be spending the rest of their lives together and to celebrate that with all of their family and friends. They could not have picked a more beautiful location, the Carp River Gardens was the absolute perfect spot! Brooke and Chris it was an absolute joy to spend the day with you guys! We loved seeing just how happy you guys were to be marrying each other! We had such a blast capturing Lauren and Mike’s wedding festivities in July! They were married at the pavilion at NMU and their reception was the first we got to shoot at the newly renovated NMU Ballrooms. Mike and Lauren were surrounded by many loving friends and family - you could feel the joy everyone felt to be a part of their day. The newlyweds ended the night with a sparkler exit and fireworks! DJ: Double Trouble DJ's Venue:Northern Center at Northern Michigan University Hair and Makeup: PüR salon Josh and Saydi had a beautiful wedding at Rib Mountain State Park. The weather was perfect and you couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. Josh and Saydi were High School sweethearts who have loved each other for most of their lives. That really showed in their day and in how much joy they had to be marrying each other. It was a pleasure to celebrate the day with them and capture their Wedding Film. Laura Schmitt Photography Rib Mountain Ski Resort evolutions in design Mint Cafe Studio E Salon and Spa This May, we had the opportunity to travel to New Jersey to document Brad and Brittany’s wedding day! It was easy to see how loved these two are by the amount of people who traveled from near and far to be there in support of their marriage. Brad and Brittany are in love, plain and simple, you can tell it by the words they wrote to each other, the vows they pledged to each other, and the way they look at each other! It was a joy to be there with them as to take the next steps of their lives together!

They are the kind of people who always have a big smile on their faces and that joy that they share is contagious!
The ladies got ready at the Penthouse of the Landmark. They had a beautiful view of the city as they prepared for the day! The men got ready at an AirBnB that was perfect for their group. Everyone was transported to the Presque Isle Bandshell for the wedding ceremony by the trolley. John and Margaret’s ceremony was so perfect. They wrote their vows together which were beautiful. Our favorite part was the Blessing of the Hands in the ceremony where their parents placed a cloth on their hands and a beautiful blessing was read while the parents placed their hands on their children. After the ceremony, the group took a little hike through Presque to some quieter cliffs than Black Rocks for portraits. Then the trolley took them all to board the Pelican, a private yacht that took them around Lower Harbor. Their reception was at the Yacht Club and the wedding party arrived on the Pelican! We even got some drone footage of the boat arriving. From there, all the people that love John and Margaret partied through the evening. When quiet hours began, everyone headed to the Delft Bistro for snacks and to watch the Michigan State game. John and Margaret’s happiness was felt by all throughout the day. We absolutely loved being a part of it all! We are expecting our first child in early July! This has been something we’ve been hoping and praying about for some time now, and we are excited that this dream is becoming a reality.
Some may be wondering, “What does that mean for Matthew Hill Creative? Aren’t most of your weddings in the summer?” I will continue to handle the paperwork and correspondence side of things through the summer. I’ll be back filming weddings with the team in August, September, and October. Noah, who has been a part of our team since the very beginning will continue to be a big part of wedding day filming. We’ve also brought on Elliot Kennedy to film with Matt and Noah in May, June, and July. We are so thrilled to have him be a part of the team. Be sure to check out his work on Instagram @elliotjkennedy (he’s awesome!). This summer is shaping up to be fun and exciting! We can’t wait for Elliot (and Cece) to join the team! Wedding in the Mountains | John and Nicole's Sanctuary Golf Course Wedding | Denver, Colorado1/2/2019 John and Nicole’s day was so beautiful from start to finish. John and the boys started their day off hiking at Roxborough State Park while the girls enjoyed a relaxed morning getting ready in their hotel suite. The celebration was all located at Sanctuary Golf Course near Denver, Colorado. This venue was stunning in all respects, with the mountains as a backdrop for all the events. John and Nicole included so many thoughtful details in their day. They wrote letters to each other and shared their handwritten vows under a beautiful pavilion. John’s grandpa and Nicole’s grandma were the ring bearer and flower girl. Their first dance, father-daughter dance, and mother-son dance were all choreographed and beautiful (with fun surprises, too)! The night ended with a sparkler exit after a closing down the dance floor! We had such a blast spending time with John and Nicole and being a part of their special day!

We were even more excited after getting the opportunity to spend some time with them at Iron Bay while they were visiting Marquette a couple months prior to their wedding day! Their wedding day and festivities did not disappoint. They were wonderful people and their day was glorious!
We first met up with Michelle at hair appointments. Her crew was having a great time snacking and getting dolled up for the big day ahead. After Michelle’s hair was done, we snuck her away to this cute little staircase in one of the buildings on Washington Street to have her read her beautiful letter to Craig. Then, we headed to the Holiday Inn to catch Craig and the guys getting ready. St. Louis the King was such a gorgeous church to be married in! It had so much light and the ceremony. The grounds were the perfect place for Michelle’s dad to have his first look. The ceremony went off without a hitch. Portraits were done at Presque Isle. A lot of people have their wedding portraits done there, but few are lucky enough to have the perfect and unique conditions that Michelle and Craig had on their day. The fog was rolling in and it made for the dreamiest portraits ever! Festivities continued at the Holiday Inn - Marquette. The whole crew danced the night away and celebrated Michelle and Craig so well!
